Growing up in South Africa gave me an unique start in the development of my love of food. The years I spent traveling and my time working as a chef in Zürich added to this experience and set the foundation for decades of experimentation with food and spices.
Back then, you had little selection when it came to African cuisine, and I was forced to make my own blends and seasonings. This quest for familiar flavours developed into a passion for spice that set the foundation of the selection you see here.
Because of the feedback I received from friends and family I decided to branch out into the world of online sales. It was a natural fit as I am a graphic designer and the tools I needed were at my disposal. It is also the reason for the quality of our blends, when you cook for your family you have different priorities to a business out for profit.
I like to think that you will not find better commercially available spice blends or seasonings anywhere in the world. Perhaps too bold a statement, you decide.
