General terms and conditions

These General Terms and Conditions define the relationships between Origins Graphic Design GmbH / spice life and the customers of its online shop. They are the base of any contract concluded between Origins Graphic Design GmbH / spice life and a customer. Any other agreements, assurances or amendments to these General Terms and Conditions must be set out in writing. These General Terms and Conditions apply to the ordering and delivery of both standard and custom-made spice blends and seasonings provided by Origins Graphic Design GmbH / spice life.

Any order placed by a customer is binding. Once the order has been submitted, the customer can no longer make any changes to either the order or the agreed upon terms of the order. Any existing right to cancel remains unaffected by this paragraph.

Some of our spice blends and seasonings contain allergens. These allergens are clearly listed under ingredients, both on the label and online. Reactions to allergens can be severe and in extreme cases even deadly. If an individual has a serious or life-threatening allergy, we do not recommend consumption of our products.

Ordered items are delivered at the customer’s expense. The delivery and packaging costs are clearly listed during the online ordering process or during e-mail correspondence for mail orders. For deliveries within Switzerland all parcels will be sent via Swiss Post Ltd / Post CH Ltd.

Origins Graphic Design GmbH / spice life shall not be held liable if the goods cannot be delivered or are delivered late because the customer provided an incorrect delivery address or no-one was home to receive the delivery. Furthermore Origins Graphic Design GmbH / spice life shall also not be held liable for delays in delivery that are caused by third parties or circumstances beyond its control, such as unforeseeable circumstances, traffic congestion, adverse weather, postal problems, software or power failure issues, etc, etc. In such cases, the client shall not be entitled to withdraw from the purchase agreement or to claim compensation for damages/delays.

The product prices that are displayed on the day of purchase/order are binding. Unless otherwise agreed, all prices are in Swiss francs (including VAT). Origins Graphic Design GmbH / spice life reserves the right to adjust its prices at any given time.

Orders in the online shop are paid by credit card. Payments by credit card are debited immediately on conclusion of the contract. Ordered goods will only be shipped after the payment has been received. Orders via e-mail are paid by bill, such orders are only possible in Switzerland and Origins Graphic Design GmbH / spice life reserves the right to insist that the client orders online and pays via credit card. If there are problems/delays with payment, Origins Graphic Design GmbH / spice life reserves the right to refuse further deliveries to the customer and to charge a fee and interest on arrears.

The recipient is responsible for checking the condition of the delivered product/s immediately upon receipt. Any complaints in relation to delivery and/or product condition/damage must be sent to (and confirmed to have been received by) Origins Graphic Design GmbH / spice life immediately, and in no case later than 24 hours after receipt of product, or the delivery shall be deemed to have been accepted. Origins Graphic Design GmbH / spice life shall not be held liable for transport damage or any damage caused by the recipient after acceptance by said recipient or his/her agents.

There is no right of return or exchange in respect of goods that have been delivered to the customer in full and undamaged condition. After an unsuccessful delivery attempt, law prohibits products that are returned to Origins Graphic Design GmbH / spice life from being redelivered to the customer/recipient. In such a case, the customer must place a new order which is charged at either full price or at a price negotiated with Origins Graphic Design GmbH / spice life in writing. A customer has a right to cancel according to the provisions of the law. If the consumer exercises the right to cancel, then the customer shall bear the normal costs of returning the product.

Data necessary for processing a transaction is stored and forwarded to the company commissioned with delivery for the purpose of performing the contract. Otherwise, stored data is not passed on to third parties except for credit rating agencies and, where necessary, for debt collection. Stored data may be used for customer relations within Origins Graphic Design GmbH / spice life.

Origins Graphic Design GmbH / spice life may conduct order-related and other correspondence electronically. The customer is expressly advised of the security risks beyond the control of Origins Graphic Design GmbH / spice life connected with data transfer by e-mail, including the transfer of viruses, damage to and/or loss of data, and unauthorised third-party access. By placing an order and providing an e-mail address, the customer authorises Origins Graphic Design GmbH / spice life to send documents and other data electronically and also via unencrypted e-mails.
